Karate for every age
Students train by rank — Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Black Belt — not by age, so everyone works alongside others at their own level. Pre-Karate is our one age-specific class.

Pre-Karate
Develop grit, communication, cooperation, confidence, and strength while having fun in a safe and nurturing environment. Our youngest students learn respect, focus, balance, and how to listen.

Children & Youth
Confidence that carries into the classroom. Children and youth build coordination, balance, and strength while learning respect, focus, and the discipline to finish what they start — plus real self-defense and anti-bully skills.

Teens & Adults
Transform your body, mind, and spirit. Teens and adults gain practical self-defense, sharper focus, real fitness, and stress relief — training alongside a supportive group that pushes each other to improve.

Families Training Together
Because students train by rank rather than age, parents and children can be on the mat together — learning the same material, testing together, and building something that lasts as a family.

What our members are saying
Frequently Asked Questions
What styles of martial arts are taught at the studio?+
Our Karate school teaches traditional Shotokan Karate for ages 3 to adult.
What is the class schedule and how often are classes held?+
Classes are two days a week, but students may train up to four times a week if class size permits.
Are there specific classes for different age groups or skill levels?+
Students train by rank rather than age — Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Black Belt — so each student works alongside others at their own level and progresses at their own pace. This is also why families can train together. Pre-Karate (ages 3–5) is our one age-specific class.
What is the cost of membership or tuition fees?+
Memberships are $247 per month on a 12-month agreement, with a 10% discount if you pay in advance. There is also a one-time registration fee that covers your uniform, all protective equipment, belt testing, our two in-house tournaments each year, and seminars — everything is included, so there are no surprise fees later. We will go over the full details at your free introductory session.
Are there any uniform or equipment requirements?+
Our membership is all-inclusive. Students receive their Karate uniform (gi) and all the required equipment at the time of enrollment.
Are there opportunities for competitions or belt promotions?+
Colorado Karate Club hosts two in-house tournaments each year. Students of all ages are welcome and encouraged to participate. Belt promotions are every two months (Pre-Karate and Beginner). Intermediate and Advanced belt promotions are dependent upon each student's progress.
What is the instructor's experience and teaching philosophy?+
Our instructors are highly experienced and passionate about martial arts. They focus on building a supportive and positive learning environment. Each instructor brings their unique teaching style and shares valuable insights to help students excel in their martial arts journey.
